CDawgVA raises over a million dollars for charity in Cyclethon 4

CDawgVA, also know as Connor, has finally finished his 15 day trek across Japan. He livestreamed the entire cycle ride, travelling from Hokkaido all the way to Tokyo with nothing but his bike under him.

Connor’s been doing these Cyclethons for years now, livestreaming his journey for the world to see as he brings guests on to cycle with him and journey across Japan.

And, after over 2 weeks of cycling, Connor raised a staggering $1,069,561 for charity by the time it came to an end, breaking his personal record with the amount of money raised in a single event.

CDawgVA breaks his own charity record in Cyclethon 4

CDawgVA originally began doing charity events to raise money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation to help raise awareness for the chronic illness his friend IronMouse is suffering from.

She has a form of Primary Immune Deficiency, one that requires very expensive plasma treatments to treat and has no cure. IronMouse can’t even leave her house without significant preparation due to the nature of her disease, and even then she still runs the risk of catching a life-threatening illness.

But Connor can take her and the rest of his viewers across Japan via his livestream, cycling over 1,200 kilometers (around 746 miles) across Japan while raising money and awareness about her illness. It ended with him arriving in Tokyo with hundreds of people cheering for him.

Starting from the frosty mountains of Hokkaido and trekking all the way to downtown Tokyo, the journey took 15 days to complete. He had guests like PewDiePie and Abroad In Japan on to cycle with him, putting on a show for the audience.

The amount of money he made here combined with his previous efforts gives Connor a total of $3,834,464.46 raised since he began his efforts with his very first Cyclethon.

Through his first Cyclethon, he raised $319,857. This makes Cyclethon 4’s amount over triple what he was able to rally the first time around.

When I interviewed him in 2023, Connor said he wanted to raise at least a million dollars a year for charity. Now he’s doing it in just one event.
