Carrie Underwood Joins Papa Roach Onstage for "Last Resort"

Country-pop superstar Carrie Underwood continued to show her love for heavy music when she joined Papa Roach onstage in Las Vegas for a rousing rendition of “Last Resort,” as well as their collaborative single “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark).”

Underwood, who was recently seen singing along with a contestant to Korn’s “Freak on a Leash” and Drowning Pool’s “Bodies” on American Idol, took the stage during the encore of Papa Roach’s show at the MGM Grand Arena on Saturday night (April 5th).

She first joined Jacoby Shaddix and company for “Leave a Light On,” a song that first appeared on Papa Roach’s 2022 album Ego Trip, but was re-recorded with Underwood in 2024 as a charity single for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

Underwood then left the stage as Papa Roach performed three more songs, including a medley of Korn’s “Blind,” Deftones’ “My Own Summer (Shove It),” Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff,” and System of a Down’s “Chop Suey.”

The country hit-maker returned for the final number of the night, Papa Roach’s signature song “Last Resort,” singing note for note with Shaddix.

Papa Roach are currently on the road with Rise Against for the “Rise of the Roach Tour.” The first leg wraps up April 13th in St. Paul, Minnesota, but a second leg will kick off September 10th in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Pick up tickets here.
