Carpark have shared the final cut from their forthcoming ‘Born To Be Average’ EP.
The ethereal new ‘Happy On Mars’ single is a slower-paced track than the band’s previous offerings from the project – ‘Suburbs of Hell’ and ‘MIA’, both of which received strong radio support – but has a captivating energy in a different way.
‘Born To Be Average’ arrives February 16.
Describing the final track ahead of its release, the band have said simply:
“If you’re looking for a rock ballad and Elon Musk diss track all-in-one, look no further.”

And as well as a new project on the horizon, Carpark can also look forward to their support for The Libertines later this month: at Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff on January 27, and at The Drill in Lincoln on January 29.
Opening for such a band is testament to how far the band have come in such a short time, having only played their first live show as Carpark three years ago in a friend’s garage.
Since then, the trio comprised of Sophie, Hattie and Lauren have supported the likes of Lauran Hibberd, Kelsy Karter and Beth McCarthy, and completed their debut UK headline tour last year.
The band recently signed with Essex-based indie collective Saviour Music Group, which will release their EP on DSPs and vinyl.
