Carly Pearce shares pericarditis diagnosis at age 34 & asks fans for ‘grace’ as she reveals she’s ‘altering’ her shows

Singer Carly Pearce has revealed she has been diagnosed with the heart condition pericarditis

COUNTRY star Carly Pearce has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with a heart condition, pericarditis.

In a social media post on Thursday, the 34-year-old said she has to tone down her upcoming shows due to doctor’s orders.

“I have always been transparent and honest about every part of my life so I feel like this deserves the same honesty,” she said in an Instagram video.

“You guys know that I’ve been dealing with some health issues, and, through that I have developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue,” she added.

“We have all decided that it is in my best interest as I’m healing to alter my shows a little bit.

“So if my shows look a little bit different, just know it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now.

“And that doesn’t mean I’m not going to be completely fine, it just means right now I’ve got to really take this seriously.”

The singer continued to ask fans for “a little bit of grace” while figuring out how to reconfigure the shows due to her condition.

She also said that her performances would still be “great,” but might just “look a little different.”

Fans flocked to the comments section to show their support and thank the country singer for being vulnerable.

“Sending you love and prayers for a quick recovery!” one person wrote.

“Sending love and prayers! So glad you shared, I know this is going to help someone else as well,” a second said.

STILL GOING STRONG

Along with her own shows, Carly also confirmed in the comments section that she will still be a special guest on Tim McGraw‘s tour as well.

She is set to return to open for Tim’s show in Toledo, Ohio tonight after a 12-day hiatus.

The tour is slated to run for the next month and wrap up in Sacramento, California, on June 29.

Carly will also embark on her own UK/EW Hummingbird tour starting in February of next year.

Her new album, Hummingbird, will be released next week on June 7.

‘NEVER ALONE’

Just two days before sharing her diagnosis, Carly informed fans that she had been facing some “scary times.”

The singer shared an Instagram post of her outside with her dogs, where she noticed a small butterfly had landed on the stroller.

“It’s been a tough week,” she revealed in the caption.

“When my grandma was dying years ago, she told me to look for her in the butterflies.

“On our walk this morning, this butterfly landed on me and on June & made me realize we truly are never alone in scary times. I see you, mamaw,” she continued.

Carly has been dating her drummer, B.C. Taylor, over the past year following her split from Riley King.

Just hours before her latest video, Carly shared an adorable clip on her Instagram Story of B.C. playing the “drums” with her dog.

The singer was previously married to Michael Ray from 2018 to 2020.
