Longtime sensation and celebrated guitarist Carlos Santana has shared a new single, “Let The Guitar Play,” a reimagined version of his 2021 number, “Song for Cindy.” Expanding on the original, the revisited piece of music soars to greater heights with the addition of Run DMC’s Darryl McDaniels, who adds poetic verses over the guitarist’s masterful riffs.
Today’s drop features three distinct remixes of “Let The Guitar Play,” including The Radio Version, The Soul Radio Version, and The 70’s Version–each cut stretches the listener’s understanding of what Santana is capable of, melding his sound to evoke a certain mood, akin to the distinct musical atmosphere of his creation.
“Now, more than ever, it is essential that we heal life, people, and the planet,” offered Santana via press release. “This music is assigned and designed to touch your heart, take you out of your misery, and to remind you that you are significant, meaningful, and can make a difference in the world.”
