There are good jobs, really good jobs, and then there is this: Candy Funhouse is looking to hire a Chief Candy Officer – a work-from-home position taste testing candy – for $78,000 a year.

Duties listed among the job description which has been posted on LinkedIn include: being the head taste tester, running candy board meetings, approving candy inventory, and deciding which new products Candy Funhouse will carry.

“Do you love all things candy and chocolate? Are you passionate about confectionary treats and exploring unreleased and existing products? If so, this is the PERFECT position for you!” the job listing reads.

“We are looking for the world’s first and only Chief Candy Officer! This opportunity is work-from-home with the option to work out of either Toronto, Canada (Canadian Residents) or Newark, New Jersey (American Residents), paying up to $100,000 [Canadian] annually to lead the “FUNhouse” Candy Strategy. This includes approving all candy in inventory and deciding whether or not to award each treat with the official ‘CCO (Chief Candy Officer) Stamp of Approval.’”

Do you have what it takes to become this company’s new Chief Candy Officer?

The position is open to anyone over the age of 5 residing in North America. The chosen Chief Candy Officer will be put through extensive palate training and “should put fun at the forefront of their daily routine.” Oh, and the full-time position also comes with an extensive dental plan.

No previous experience is necessary and the deadline to apply for the job is August 31, 2022. Though if you are thinking of submitting a “golden ticket” themed application, that has already been done… numerous times, according to Candy Funhouse’s Chief Executive Officer Jamal Hejazi.

“Imagine your best memories around candy, and having that every day at work,” Hejazi told CNN.

So far, several thousand people have submitted their applications.
