The saga of “traditional marriage” goes on as Candace Cameron Bure unfollows her co-star Jodie Sweetin who decided to step into the chat and seemingly take sides.
Candace Cameron Is On A Mission
The actress made it clear she will not waver when it comes to her values and there is nothing wrong with standing in what is important to you. There is also nothing wrong with cleaning house!
Bure hopped on social media and made it a point to unfollow her former co-star Sweetin. The shady move comes after Sweetin also stood her ground and made her own comments regarding “traditional marriages”.
“You know I love you ❤️❤️.” Wrote the actress under JoJo Siwa’s post slamming Bure after she said in an interview that she is leaving Hallmark, a channel she helped to start to focus on “traditional family” films with GAC.
“I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch,” the “Fuller House” star said. “GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content.”
JoJo Siwa Didn’t Like That
Dancer, Siwa made it clear that this didn’t sit well with her. The 19-year-old addressed Bure on Instagram. “honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press,” she insisted.
She ended her post by reminding Bure, “this is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
Hilarie Burton backed up the reality TV star and slammed Bure as a “bigot” for her viewpoint. “I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy. But sure. Make your money, honey,” she wrote on IG. “You ride that prejudice wave all the way to the bank.”
Burton also called out the GAC CEO Bill Abbott assuring viewers that he is not a great guy and she called him on his behavior “years ago” when she and he worked with the Hallmark Channel during the same time.
Candace Cameron Bure Doubles Down
The Christmas movie star later spoke with the Wall Street Journal to clarify what she really means by the misconstrued comment. She stated that is confident “that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”
Bure is not interested in mincing words and it looks like she is also lacking tolerance for people because she wasted no time removing a woman who she has worked with on and off for decades from her life.
Cameron Cameron Bure Has A Past With The LGBTQ+ Community
In the past, Bure has been open to working with all people despite who they lay down beside at night, she said it openly and in a positive light assuring she is “100% on board” with projects that specifically include the LGBTQ+ community.
“I support all things that we go through as human beings and would love all our characters to explore whatever issues that are current in our culture and our society,” she continued.
While she hasn’t specifically said she is against the community upset celebs like Burton and Siwa and now Sweetin seem to believe this is what her big move to GAC means.
