Butterfinger has revealed the Salted Carmel flavored candy bar, its first flavor innovation in over 10 years.
Ever since its launch in 1923, Butterfinger has been one of the most popular candy bars for kids and adults alike.
Over the 100+ years it’s been a company, however, Butterfinger has only released a handful of different flavors, including dark chocolate and even a spicy variant.
Butterfinger launched a new flavor on Wednesday, April 2, and it’s the first one in over a decade.
Butterfinger releases Salted Caramel flavor
The limited edition flavor is available from April to June 2025 as a limited-time product, and you can find it at your favorite convenience store.
To celebrate the launch, Butterfinger has partnered with New Jersey-based restaurant The Hive for two limited-edition items featuring the candy bar that includes a salted caramel peanut butter Cinnamon Roll made with Butterfinger and the salted caramel Butterfinger-flavored latte.
“With Salted Caramel Butterfinger, we’re blending two of America’s favorite flavors in a way that celebrates our classic Butterfinger bar while delivering something new,” said the company’s Vice President of Marketing, Neal Finkler.
“This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Butterfinger, with even more innovation coming soon. We look forward to delivering more unique flavor experiences.”
Users flocked to social media to celebrate the release, with many excited to try out the new flavor.
“I’m all about a Butterfinger and I love salted caramel. Not sure about the combo but I’m down with giving it a go!!” one user said.
Another commented: “Oh Butterfinger is my top candy bar and this is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!”
“I need this in my life,” replied a third.
This isn’t the first new release to take the internet by storm in 2025, either. On April 1, McDonald’s launched Minecraft-themed meals for both kids and adults to celebrate the new Minecraft Movie.
