Whoops, she did it again. Britney Spears almost caused another catastrophe by messing around with fire.
In a video posted on Monday to Instagram then later deleted, Britney Spears shared a story (using a bizarre British accent, sort of) about how lighting her fireplace caused her face to be “like, on fire.”
“Six months ago, something happened that was really, really dangerous,” Spears recounted while laying in bed in the video which was captured by TMZ.
“I was in my room and I turned the fire on and all of the sudden it blew up in my face.
“And it’s done it before. And the times it did it before, I always, I [unintelligible]. So always get my security to come in and light it for me. Because I was scared t was going to blow up,” the 42-year-old pop star continued.
“But this time [stifles laughter], I just threw the whole thing in there, and it literally blew into my face and it took all of my eyelashes off, my eyebrows, and see this baby hair? [points to her bangs] These baby bangs? This is from, basically, six months ago. It sizzled all my hair.
“And the person I was with, just would not wake up, and I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room because my face was, like, on fire!
“I was like, wait. Third degree? Second degree burns? And what can happen, because really my whole face went in.
“But then it hurt to even touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. It hurt, anything to just touch it. And so this lasted for, like, six or seven hours. It happened, like, three o’clock in the morning. The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad.
“So finally, I took three Tylenols, which like, Tylenol is like a really, really big deal for me. It’s like a f—— Vicodin or something. But I took three and finally I went to sleep.
“But yeah, it was really bad. All is good now.”
This is the second time in the past few years that Britney Spears has had a dangerous mishap with fire.
In 2020, she accidentally burned down her home gym with a couple of candles and then posted a video about it six months later with the still charred remains of her home gym in the background.
