Justin Timberlake And Britney Spears

It seems that the feud between Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears is heating up.

Although the pop star apologized to the “Cry Me A River” actor twice for things that she wrote about him in her memoir, and even went out of her way to let her fans know that she liked his new songs, Justin said that he had “nobody” to apologize to on Wednesday night, prompting a quick response from Britney on Thursday afternoon.

Justin Timberlake Will ‘Apologize To Absolutely F—ing Nobody’

On January 31, “The Social Network” seemingly addressed the alleged feud between him and Britney Spears by taking to the stage and saying, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to f—ing nobody.” This came only days after Britney said that she liked his new song, “Selfish,” in a now-deleted Instagram post.

“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry… I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish,’” she wrote in the caption. “It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is wow too.”

Britney Claims Justin Would ‘Cry’ When She Beat Him At Basketball

In a since-deleted Instagram post from December 2023, Britney insinuated that Justin would cry when she beat him at basketball.

“Psss I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball 🏀 and he would cry … no disrespect 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!” she wrote at the time. Although she didn’t call Justin out by name, Justin had said “no disrespect” that night before during his hour-long set at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas opening. He famously told the crowd “No disrespect” before launching into his 2002 single, “Cry Me A River.”

Over one year ago, on January 17, 2023, Britney also shared a photo of her and Justin wearing matching basketball uniforms to Instagram. In the since-deleted post, Britney wrote, “When we used to shoot hoops TOGETHER … that’s when miracles happened!!!”

She then added, “I came out of my mom’s stomach just like we all did!!! Psss … why always cast me out ??? I’m equal as all!!!”

Amid allegations of infidelity, Britney also details an unplanned pregnancy that she and Justin navigated in 2000. She said that although she wanted a family with “The Social Network” actor, he “didn’t want to be a father” at the time.

“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote in her memoir. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father,” she continued, adding, “To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”

Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
