A BRITISH reality star has been left gobsmacked as Sabrina Carpenter asked for her to send over her “worn, sweaty” outfit, after being spotted wearing it on TikTok.
Melissa Tattam, 28, of Made In Chelsea fame, revealed her total disbelief when a member of US hitmaker Sabrina’s team got in touch with her.
Speaking on her Wednesdays podcast alongside co-host Sophie Habboo, Melissa revealed that Sabrina had taken a fancy to a white co-ord she’d worn in a recent video.
A shocked Sophie asked Melissa: “Wait so Sabrina Carpenter is strutting about with your sweaty outfit on?”
To which Melissa replied: “Right, so I posted a picture of me in a co-ord set and I got a message saying Sabrina Carpenter likes your TikTok and really likes the set that you’re wearing.
“So she asked her stylist, would Melissa mind couriering her set so she can wear it at Hyde Park festival.”
Sophie, in disbelief, responded: “You’re f*****g kidding me? So Sabrina is in your sweaty outfit – it’s not really sweaty I’m joking.”
Melissa said she’d only actually worn the set for that one photo, adding: “I have worn it but it is technically clean,” to which Sophie added: “Thank god you didn’t wear fake tan.”
The girls then joked that the Busy Woman singer knows who they are, and in the comments fans were in total disbelief.
One person even noticed that Sabrina had posted a photo in the exact co-ord they were talking about, writing: “ALERT🚨- the Sabrina Carpenter has just posted on IG wearing your outfit.”
And low and behold, on slide 11 of Sabrina’s recent photo dump, she is seen wearing Melissa’s exact outfit.
The Sun has contacted Sabrina’s representatives for comment.
Sabrina has become a household name in recent years.
It was Espresso – one of the biggest hits of last year, which even Adele has confessed to loving – that finally propelled Sabrina into the spotlight.
Taken from her album Short n’ Sweet, it was a genuine pop-culture moment, spending a record-breaking 43 consecutive weeks in the UK’s Top 5.
She was also the first female artist in history to hold the UK No.1 album and Top 3 singles at the same time.
And it’s not just Adele who is a celebrity fan. She’s had the blessing of the world’s biggest female pop star, Taylor Swift, after being asked to support her on the 25-date US leg of the Eras tour.
Sabrina explained: “Watching [Taylor] keep their attention as if she’s playing in their living room, it was like – and I told her this – ‘Your tour enabled me to do mine’.”
And she’s also won over her hero, Dolly Parton – another 5ft blonde with big hair who takes no nonsense. The pair duetted on one of Sabrina’s biggest hits Please Please Please.
