In another video Josie reveals her healthy habits. She starts her day by hydrating, drinking a glass of water with lemon. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
Josie has a workout buddy: Her husband. During her healthy habits video she does an at-home workout with her hubby, lifting weights on a mat and following along to a video. Having a workout buddy is a great way to keep yourself accountable and also give you extra motivation to exercise.
Josie is a coffee drinker. In the video she makes coffee with her Nespresso machine. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
Josie hits the slopes with her family. “Ski you later, Colorado!! We had the most fun and made the best memories,” she captioned an Instagram post.
Josie enjoys cooking healthy meals at home by using meal kits. “I love being in the kitchen with this handsome guy. Making dinner is always more fun together. 🥰 With home chef we get to experience all the fun of cooking without any of the hard part! We get to cook without any of the prep, try new and delicious meals, and It’s always quick and easy! The only hard part is choosing which meal to make first,” she wrote in a caption.
In her Instagram video, Josie works out with her personal trainer, doing strength training exercises in a method referred to as AMRAP (as many reps as possible.) “Once we warmed up and stretched, this is a 20 minute workout, and we did five pull-ups, 10 pushups, and then 20 air squats. And we just did those until the timer ran out. So as many as we could fit in, that’s what we did,” she says in the clip.
