Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Lee Malia will miss the band’s Australia tour, which begins today in Melbourne.
BMTH’s Aussie tour is taking place throughout this month, consisting of seven dates across the country in total, and will see support from Sleep Token, Make Them Suffer and Daine.
And whilst Malia won’t be able to join the band, it’s for a very valid (and joyous) reason, with the band explaining:
“Lee is unable to join us for NeX GEn down under shows.
“He will be back for future dates, but is taking some time out with the new addition to his family for this run.”
After their two weeks in Australia, the band will head onto the States for Las Vegas’ Sick New World Festival and its accompanying side-shows later this month.
Recently, they dropped a video for their latest single ‘Kool-Aid’, and followed it up with a win at the 2024 BRITs for Best Alternative/Rock Act.
Earlier this year, they played a huge UK arena tour, with Rock Sound concluding upon seeing their homecoming Sheffield Utilita Arena show:
“Their ascent to the top is nothing short of hard-won, continuing to squash the naysayers with genre-bending innovation, song by song.
“As we eagerly await the arrival of ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEN’, tonight’s homecoming is a timely reminder that they will go down in history as the band of this generation.”
