To celebrate the release of Fast X, her first outing in the franchise, Academy Award winner Brie Larson posted a photo of herself holding four boxes of pizza during the premiere of the film in Rome last weekend.
“Personally recommend getting a pizza to watch Fast X, in theaters now!” Larson captioned her Instagram photo.
Speaking to reporters at the premiere, Larson — who stars in the film as Tess, the daughter of Kurt Russell’s character Mr. Nobody — indicated that she would be open to making further appearances in the franchise, particularly in a female-centric spinoff.
“I don’t think we’d be mad about anything that involved ladies all together,” Larson told ET Online on the red carpet. “It was very clear that we would love to spend more time together.”
In addition to the Oscar-winning Larson, Fast X stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jason Momoa, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Rita Moreno. Fast X hits theaters in the United States today, Friday, May 19.
Here is the official synopsis for Fast X, via Universal Pictures:
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they must confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced. Fueled by revenge, a terrifying threat emerges from the shadows of the past to shatter Dom’s world and destroy everything — and everyone — he loves.
Later this year, Larson will also be starring as Captain Marvel for the third time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when The Marvels hits theaters in November, as she previously appeared in Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame back in 2019.
Alongside Larson, The Marvels — the third and final MCU film of 2023 and the 33rd overall — stars Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-joon, and will hit theaters in the United States on Friday, November 10.
