Billy Ray Cyrus‘ relationship with his daughter, Miley Cyrus, has reportedly been strained further after the release of a shocking audio and text message in which he allegedly abused her and his estranged wife, Firerose.
The former Disney star now sees her country music star dad as “dead to her” and is completely uninterested in his apology or statement.
Since the audio was released, Billy Ray Cyrus has admitted that he was the one speaking on it and gave the excuse that Firerose had pushed him to his “wit’s end.”

Billy Ray may have permanently damaged his relationship with Miley by allegedly calling her a “devil” in an audio rant released by the Daily Mail.
Insiders have now shared that Miley has lost any respect she had left for her father.
“There is no excuse, ever, for a father to call his daughter a skank. Any inkling of respect that Miley had for her father is gone. He is dead to her,” the source told the news outlet.
They added, “Billy Ray and Miley have already been on bad terms since his marriage to Firerose only three months after her mother Tish filed for divorce.”
In the shocking recording, Billy Ray was heard abusing Firerose and speaking of himself in the third person before seemingly moving his vitriol to Miley.

Regarding his music star daughter, he said, “Everyone knows that devil’s a skank.” However, some reports claim Billy Ray was referring to his ex-wife, Tish, when he made the “devil” remark.

Miley Cyrus Reportedly ‘Won’t Be Accepting Any Apologies’
The insider further claimed that Miley isn’t surprised that Billy Ray said those things about her in his expletive-filled rant. Another source agreed and shared that the “Wrecking Ball” singer no longer cares.
They said, “Miley is mad, sad and also not giving a sh-t, all the emotions are there. Miley is over caring about what Billy Ray has to say about her, her mom or her siblings. Miley is as independent of a woman as possible, and she refuses to let her dad, or any man, break her heart.”
The first insider also discussed Billy Ray’s excuses for his outburst, stating that his words were “taken out of context.”
They noted that, regardless of his reasons, the “Flowers” singer isn’t interested in her father’s explanations or apologies.

Miley is also said to be hurt by Billy Ray’s comments about her mother, Tish, whom he was married to from 1993 until 2022.
In a text message exchange between Billy Ray and his manager Scott Adkins, which was also obtained by the Daily Mail, the singer abused Tish.
He wrote, “She is a liar…a wh-re…and a cheat. Complete skank. Scum of the earth. A fraud.”
Billy Ray further compared Tish to Lindsay Lohan’s mother, Dina, writing, “Makes Deanna Lohan look like Mother Theresa.”
Since the release of the audio recording and text message, Tish has made no statements addressing Billy Ray’s rant and his specific words against her.
Billy Ray Cyrus Says He Was At His ‘Wit’s End’
After the audio’s content went viral, Billy Ray posted an admission and apology on his Instagram Story.
The “Old Town Road” singer also offered an excuse for his anger and rant, claiming that his estranged wife, Firerose, had pushed him to his “wit’s end” during their marriage.
He said, “Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end. As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parents last name.”

Billy Ray continued, “I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary. I saw before my very own eyes, everything thought I knew about her, was a lie. She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain.”
The country star concluded his statement by telling Firerose, “See you in court.”
Firerose Claimed She Was Verbally And Emotionally Abused Before The Audio Was Released
The leaked audio tape seemingly corroborates Firerose’s multiple allegations of abuse against Billy Ray.
Firerose accused him of subjecting her to “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse” during their seven-month marriage, which ended with his annulment filings.
She also claimed that Billy Ray was “unpredictable and volatile” because of his substance abuse problems.
In her filings, the singer stated that he isolated her from all friends and family, except her AA sponsor. Billy Ray also allegedly reneged on his promise to pay for her preventative double mastectomy surgery, which has now been postponed “indefinitely.”
