Bill Burr probably didn’t anticipate that some comments from an episode of his Monday Morning Podcast would go viral this week but when he went off on ‘rabid billionaires’ and how they should ‘be put down’ those comments seemed to resonate with a lot of people on social media and quickly went viral. Burr’s comments came in the context of him discussing how many hard working people in America are struggling.
Coming from a working class upbringing and grinding his way through the stand-up comedy industry for much of his whole career, Bill Burr is very much aware of the grind it takes to be successful. Furthermore, like most sentient human beings, he’s aware that no matter of hard work leads to becoming a billionaire and it requires an unquantifiable amount of luck and a willingness to ruthlessly suppress all competition along the way.
The comments came on Bill Burr’s ‘Super Bowl, Drones, Valentine’s Day Grift’ episode of the Monday Morning Podcast and they start around the 43-minute mark (full video belw). But TMZ and others have clipped this segment where Bill Burr calls for Americans to stop arguing with one another about ‘liberal vs conservative’ because we are all being used as pawns against each other by billionaires. Here’s the clip:
#BillBurr doesn’t want to eat the rich … but he does want to kill them.

From that 65-second clip, Bill Burr said “there are a lot of people struggling out there because of these f—— billionaires. And they got us all arguing ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’ … we gotta stop that. I am so tired of hearing about people going to bed worried about what’s going to happen next week.”
Burr continued “there is so much f—— money in this country and there’s so much work being done, y’know. And if you work a full f—— week at a job you should be able to pay your f—— rent. You shouldn’t have to go out and get another f—— job and still be struggling.”
He kept going, saying “it’s bad for the country because then the kids don’t see their parents and they’re not getting the upbringing they need. These f—— billionaires… they need to be put down, y’know, like f—— rabid dogs. They’re like rabid with f—— greed and just going out and dividing everybody.” And here is Bill Burr’s full rant with more below the video:
I’d like to at least add that the reason I have to add ‘—–‘ on all of the colorful language from Bill Burr’s billionaires rant is because the billionaires own the ad networks that help us make a living and if I don’t censor that language then they restrict ads to the lowest quality possible. So when you see censored language on the Internet from small, independently owned publishers like BroBible you can thank billionaires for still exerting control over that….
Suffice it to say, Bill Burr’s billionaire comments have gone insanely viral. It was the #1 story on Reddit overnight on r/all, and there are multiple links on the Reddit home page right now with Bill Burr’s billionaires comments.
Type ‘Bill Burr billionaires‘ into the search bar on X (née Twitter), and perhaps it is tied to my own algorithm, though that seems unlikely, but there’s a whole lot of people nodding their heads in agreement with Bill Burr that billionaires are a problem. There are also some mentions of how the wealth gap/wealth inequality in America is greater now than it was in 1774 in America.
As a comedian, Bill Burr has comedic license to say some things (possibly in jest) that others would be vilified for saying. If a politician were to echo Bill Burr’s comments on billionaires there would be a national outrage. But he’s a comedian and can ‘tell it like it is‘ even if millions of people don’t want to hear what he has to say.
