Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s reported divorce continues to play out in the public eye, with the latest reports centering on the relationship that Affleck’s daughter Violet has with J. Lo.
According to reports, Ben Affleck’s 19-year-old daughter Violet, whom he had with ex-wife Jennifer Garner in 2005, has become close with Lopez over the last few years, which Affleck reportedly feels makes their split “a little tricky.”
“It’s a little tricky for him, but both Jen and Ben want all their kids to be happy, regardless of the issues they are facing in their marriage,” an alleged inside source told Entertainment Tonight. “Ben certainly doesn’t want to cause any strain between Jen and Violet, and he is in support of them spending time together.”
The source adds that they are “trying to make this transition as easy as possible and be gentle on their children… because maintaining that closeness is important to everyone.”
Despite his previous relationship experience with Lopez and a reported warning from his best buddy Matt Damon, Affleck went ahead with getting married to J. Lo in the summer of 2022 nonetheless.
Even if the couple’s romantic relationship comes to an end in the coming months, their professional ties will remain as Affleck and Damon’s production company Artists Equity produced both of Lopez’s two upcoming films: Unstoppable, which is about one-legged wrestler Anthony Robles, and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
As for Affleck’s upcoming projects, he’s producing various films such as The Instigators, Witness for the Prosecution, Apostle Paul, Animals and Keeper of the Lost Cities. He’s also set to star in a sequel to his 2016 action thriller The Accountant.
