Ben Affleck’s Daughter Violet ‘Wishes Dad Would Stay’ With Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck‘s daughter, Violet, has reportedly emerged as a peacemaker in her father’s troubled marriage to famous singer Jennifer Lopez.

As rumors of their marital woes continue to swirl, Violet is said to have been working behind the scenes to help repair the couple’s relationship.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have already started living separately and have since listed their marital home in Beverly Hills for sale.

The 18-year-old, who graduated high school in May, has reportedly been championing efforts to prevent her father’s imminent divorce from her famous stepmom.

According to the Daily Mail, Violet is understood to be “heartbroken” that the couple’s relationship has soured and recently wore the “Jenny From The Block” singer’s 2023 D&G dress she wore on Valentine’s Day with Affleck as a sign of solidarity.

“Violet does wish her dad Ben would stay with JLo,” an insider said. “She wasn’t living in their house and did not see the extent of the breakdown, but she got extremely close to JLo over the past couple of years and it broke her heart when they split.”

“She is not going to stop talking to JLo and recently enjoyed time in the Hamptons with her,” the source continued. “Wearing her soon-to-be former stepmom’s Valentine’s Day dress was a bit of a statement – she knew what she was doing. Those close to her thought it was bizarre.”

Sources claim the Oscar winner is indifferent about his daughter’s effort to fix his marriage, as well as her close ties with Lopez after she wore the singer’s wrap dress on a lunch outing with her 16-year-old twin step-siblings Emme and Max.

The source said, “Ben is neither bothered nor unbothered by Violet’s closeness with JLo, as Violet is an adult and can have relationships with anyone she chooses. Unfortunately for her, wearing JLo’s dress in public is not going to affect Ben’s divorce at all.”

Another source told the Daily Mail that Violet has been “championing them getting back together,” adding that she’s “a Daddy’s girl and a family first person and is best friends with JLo’s kids. She considers them her sister and brother.”

The insider continued, “Ben has been so amazing to Max and Emmie and is a wonderful father and father figure, so of course they would all love for their parents to find a way to be together.”

“This current hiccup is sad and despite it looking like things won’t heal, Violet is championing them getting back together. Wearing JLo’s dress was done on purpose,” they added.

Reports of Violet’s attempts to save her father’s marriage come after it was revealed that the couple is taking cautionary steps towards their alleged divorce for the sake of their children.

Lopez and Affleck have not been pictured together since June, as they spent their second wedding anniversary on opposite sides of the coast after the singer embarked on a getaway to the Hamptons while Affleck remained in L.A.

The couple have since placed their shared Beverly Hills property on the market for $68 million, with Affleck purchasing a new Pacific Palisades mansion for $20.5 million.

Insiders say that the “Hustlers” actress has been left reeling from the effect their divorce would have on both their respective children.

“There are five kids involved in this,” a source noted. “She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over.”

Affleck shares three children, Violet, 18, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez has 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The “Good Will Hunting” actor has been accused of “gaslighting” his estranged wife by putting on his wedding ring one day and taking it off the next.

“The fact that he bought a new home while she was celebrating her birthday in the Hamptons was really humiliating for her,” a source told In Touch. “Plus, one day he has his ring on, and the next day it’s off — it’s like he’s gaslighting her.”

Previous reports claimed that Affleck was stalling on filing for divorce to “protect” Lopez from further embarrassment. However, sources claim that the gesture makes the singer feel “sick.”

“The way Ben ignored their anniversary, then her birthday, while having the tenacity to claim he’s protecting her somehow … it was shocking. It makes J. Lo sick to her stomach. People in their circle are wondering how it’s gotten to this point and become so toxic,” the insider shared.

They added, “Now Ben and J. Lo are giving each other the silent treatment. J. Lo doesn’t know how it came to this. She really thought she’d finally found her happily ever after, and then Ben pulled the rug out from under her. She’s putting up a brave front in public, but she’s seething on the inside.”

Lopez recently toured a $22 million home in Beverly Hills, California, after checking out a $68 million mansion just 15 minutes away from her and Affleck’s marital home, which they are trying to sell.

Lopez wore a white button-up top tucked into wide-legged, striped trousers for the house hunt. She completed the look with sunglasses and hoop earrings, styling her hair in a low ponytail.

The “On The Floor” singer completed the sale of her New York City apartment for $23 million. Reports claim that their lack of communication has hampered their divorce proceedings.
