Ben Affleck Ditches Wedding Ring Amid Jennifer Lopez Split Rumors

Ben Affleck has fueled rumors that his marriage to Jennifer Lopez has been “over for months” after he was seen heading to work without his wedding ring.

The duo has continued to stay mum about the state of their marriage despite putting up their marital mansion for sale and selling some of their artwork.

It was previously reported that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez intended to announce their divorce after concluding school arrangements for their kids.

Affleck and Lopez’s marriage has been making headlines in recent months due to rumors of marital troubles.

The rumors have persisted, fueled by the couple’s rare public appearances together and the coldness they seemed to give off during those instances.

While fans of the duo hoped they would find a reason to work out their differences and continue their marriage, it was recently shared that the couple’s marriage has been “over for months.”

Affleck has seemingly confirmed the claims as he was recently spotted driving to work without his wedding ring.

This wasn’t the first time he was spotted without the ring. Late last month, he was also seen without it during a food outing with his eldest child, Violet, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, along with their other children, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Affleck and Lopez’s deafening silence to the rumors and lack of public appearances together have spoken volumes, leaving fans to interpret their actions as confirmation of the split.

On Affleck’s part, he has been absent from major events in Lopez’s life, such as the recent Mat Gala, which the “Maid in Manhattan” actress co-chaired a few months back.

He also pulled a no-show at the debut of her sci-fi Netflix movie, “Atlas,” leaving the actress to walk the red carpet alone.

Meanwhile, Lopez also hinted at the breakdown in their marriage after she was seen liking a social media post on healthy versus unhealthy relationships.

“You can’t build a relationship with someone who is disconnected from themselves,” read the Instagram post, per Page Six.

It continued, “We can’t expect someone to see us when we can’t even see themselves… After all, love is not a feeling, it’s action.”

According to a source, a divorce announcement is inevitable but has been delayed in the meantime. They claim this is because the duo is trying to settle school plans for their children: Affleck’s kids with Garner and Lopez’s twins with Marc Anthony, Emme, and Max.

The insider told the Daily Mail, “I think they have wanted to wait until all the kids are out of school and done with school plans and all that before they make their big announcement. They are putting the kids first.”

The source also claims that the couple has chosen to remain “cordial” with each other despite their split, as they still hold a soft spot for one another.

More recently, another insider revealed that Affleck is still “very protective” of Lopez, further confirming the duo’s decision to remain amicable.

Lopez’s mom recently weighed in on her daughter’s marriage, advising the singer-dancer to jump off the sinking ship of her marriage.

“Jennifer’s mom told her, ‘Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting any deeper in this mess,'” an insider dished per theDaily Mail.

The insider added, “He was not the person she built him up to be. It’s taken too much of a toll on her, and because of this she has lost sight of who she is and what she stands for.”

Lopez’s sisters, Leslie Ann and Lynda, are also said to be unhappy about their sister’s troubled marriage and feel Affleck doesn’t deserve her.

They now want her to “focus on her kids and career” instead of prolonging breaking up with Affleck, who they believe “would rather throw in the towel than actually just try to fix things.”

Affleck’s best friend Matt Damon is reportedly “distressed” and offering him a shoulder to lean on amid his marriage woes in an attempt to prevent him from relapsing into his past drinking habit.

An insider told Radar Online that Damon is worried about Affleck’s health status and is rallying his close friends to stage an Intervention so that he doesn’t fall off the wagon, as Lopez seems to be moving on without him.

“Matt wants those closest to Ben to remind him he is loved and supported — and better off without Jennifer,” a source shared. “Everyone is rallying around Ben — including his ex, Jen Garner, and their kids, Violet, Fin, and Samuel. They’re keeping him occupied by suggesting fun things to do.”

“Matt’s been the influencer behind the scenes,” the insider added. “Anything that will take Ben’s mind off J Lo is a good thing.”
