Below Deck's Lily Davison in Workout Gear Writes Her Menus

Lily Davison is meal planning in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the Below Deck chef shows off her amazing body in exercise gear as she reveals her meal planning method. “Here is how I write my menus and shopping lists!!” she writes in the caption of the Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Lily takes breaks from work and goes snorkeling and scuba diving. “We went to the best snorkeling spot ever !!” she captioned a post. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Because she doesn’t always have access to a gym, Lily takes advantage of workout apps. In an Instagram Q&A Lily reveals her workout of choice. “I follow the Evolve You app.

Lily understands the importance of workout buddies. “I stay motivated because I do it with my cousin in Florida. We wake up at the same time and do it together. That really helps me get out of bed and actually just do it,” she says in the Q & A.

Lily makes sure to hydrate. She loves drinking straight out of coconuts. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Living on a yacht, Lily spends a lot of time swimming – even with sharks. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
