Beavis and Butt-Head Look to "Buy Metallica" in Trailer for New Season

Beavis and Butt-Head have hit it big in the upcoming season of the Comedy Central show, so much so that they want to “buy Metallica,” as seen in the just-released trailer.

Season 3 of the latest revival (and Season 11 overall) of Beavis and Butt-Head will premiere on September 3rd, and if the trailer is any indication, the two metal-loving misfits’ hijinks are turned up to 11 this time around.

In one scene, Metallica are playing a concert when singer James Hetfield notices Beavis and Butt-Head hovering overhead in a helicopter filled with gold bars. “Beavis and Butt-Head, we love you guys,” says the frontman into the mic, with Beavis yelling, “How much to buy Metallica?” Hetfield responds, “One gold bar oughta be enough,” only to regret that answer in a big way.

Another scene depicts the pair as their older selves, complaining that headbanging hurts too much. While the previous two seasons streamed directly on Paramount+, the upcoming one will have its episodes premiere on Comedy Central.

Meanwhile, Metallica just recently completed the latest North American leg of their ongoing “M72 World Tour,” and also took part in the “Back to the Beginning” concert honoring Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. The band is set to hit Australia and New Zealand in November, followed by a Spring 2026 UK/European leg. Tickets to their upcoming shows are available here.
