The holidays have been extra special around my household for the past several years. My son (a toddler) is completely and utterly obsessed with inflatable Christmas decorations. Every night after dinner between October and December we walk around the neighborhood and he goes up to hug every single inflatable decoration around.
It spreads joy. My neighbors love it. And this bear is doing the exact opposite in Lake Tahoe as it tears a Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer inflatable decoration to pieces like a Grinch who is still out to ruin Christmas. Pardon my French, but this bear sucks chestnuts.
The footage above was recorded on a Ring security camera in Zephyr Cove, Nevada on Lake Tahoe. Bears are incredibly common in the Lake Tahoe area. I mentioned this recently after a bear broke into a cookie shop in Lake Tahoe and jumped behind the counter to help itself to some cookies. It was a moment straight out of a cartoon but somehow real life.
Bears are no strangers to attacking beloved Christmas decorations. It was around this time last year when another inflatable reindeer decoration was desecrated by a bear in Monrovia, California. One might begin to think these bears are going after the reindeer thinking they’re an easy meal…
Bear Attacks Decoration, Decoration Does Not Attack Back
Kind of has me on edge about the 15-foot-tall Beaver wearing a Santa Claus outfit we have at my house. Sure it might be big enough to deter most bears but I wouldn’t want to see a bear that’s tough enough to think it can go after a 15-foot giant.
