It’s some Barry sad news. Barry, HBO’s hitman-centric comedy, which has delighted audiences for three seasons, is now the mark. Barry is officially ending at HBO and will conclude with season four. But it’s not all dark. The ending is amicable and planned, which is more than most shows can say right now.
According to Variety, creators Bill Hader and Alec Berg will send Barry off into the sunset as a complete work. The pair share, “a very clear ending [for Barry] presented itself.” And sometimes, it’s best not to stretch. Hader adds, “You realize, well, we could pad a lot of stuff, and just make story. But if we’re going forward, it ends in Season 4.”
It is good to know when to call it quits, even if that means Barry has to end. No one likes a show that goes on for too long, after all. In the meanwhile, fans still have a whole season to enjoy. HBO shared a teaser for Barry‘s fourth season with the news. And it takes us right into the aftermath of season three’s dramatic ending. Barry‘s final eight episodes premiere on April 16.
