THE Bachelor Matt James has revealed his beloved mom, Patty James, is ready to become the first Golden Bachelorette.
After Matt, 32, starred in Season 25 of The Bachelor, Patty, 70, became a contestant on the first season of the spinoff, The Golden Bachelor.

In early February, the ABC network announced the Golden Bachelorette is in the works at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour., according to Variety.
ABC described the new show as “one radiant woman’s second chance at love in her golden years.”
And now, the Bachelor alum has nominated his mother as a potential pick in an interview with Today.
“I think that she’s open to any way of finding someone to be with,” Matt shared.
“The Golden Bachelor worked for Gerry [Turner], so it’s obviously proven that it can work.”
The Golden Bachelor finale ended with Gerry, 72, walking down the aisle with his new wife, Theresa Nist, 70,
Although Patty felt “bummed” about not finding love with Gerry, Matt believed in a silver lining.
“I think that the silver lining is that you’re closer to finding someone that you’re meant to be with, because if you’re not with that person, then it’s for a reason.”
Whether or not the matriarch lands the Golden Bachelorette gig, Matt mentioned she will continue her pursuit of a new romance.
“If you’re out there and you’re single, slide into my mom’s DMs,” Patty’s son concluded.
Patty is not the only candidate hoping to be named the first-ever Golden Bachelorette.
‘IT’S OFFICIAL’
Susan Noles, 67, appeared on the first season of The Golden Bachelor, and even officiated the first Golden Wedding.
In early March, Susan fueled speculation when she shared a snapshot of herself with another Golden Bachelor contestant, Kathy Swarts, and a man who seemed to be a Bachelor producer.
The trio was at the Smoke House Restaurant in Burbank, California – a popular restaurant in the area.
The group sat at a table while gathered together as they smiled at the camera.
“It’s official! I finally went to the smokehouse restaurant with good friends,” Susan captioned the Instagram post.
Fans believed Susan would be the first Golden Bachelorette because she was supposedly “with one of the producers from the show.”
POTENTIAL CANDIDATES
In early February, USAToday reported that the top three candidates were Joan Vassos, Leslie Fhima, and Faith Martin.
Around the same time, ABC producers announced soap opera actress Susan Lucci, 77, was at the top of their list to be the Golden Bachelorette.
Also in March, the All My Children legend added to the rumor mill when she spoke with Us Weekly.
“My mother used to watch The Bachelor, and I made fun of her,” Susan shared.
“Now, years later, I’m totally addicted to The Bachelor — including The Golden Bachelor!”
