Streaming star Asmongold has revealed that he would only ban Twitch streamers if they broke the law, and he’s on board with Adin Ross being unbanned.
Twitch bans have always been a big talking point in the streaming community. There have been constant debates between content creators about rules not being enforced in the same way for different streamers. They’ve even pressed Twitch for more openness about reasons for suspensions too.
Everyone has their own ideas of how they’d run the Amazon-owned platform, if they were given the keys for a day. That usually includes a list of people who they’d unban.
Asmongold, who has had his own suspensions from Twitch in the last year, would like to see the streaming platform only ban creators who break the law.
Asmongold would unban Adin Ross
That’s right, the former OTK member understands why some streamers are banned for breaking Twitch’s own rules, but he’d make a change.
“Realistically Sneako, Fresh&Fit should’ve never been unbanned based on the stuff that they say. If it was up to me, Sneako, Fresh&Fit, Adin Ross, I don’t know about Adin Ross because it’s putting out money to do something to somebody which is very complex, right? All these people, like Destiny, would get unbanned. This is coming at it from a free speech perspective,” Asmon said.
“I’m just saying, if it was up to me, nobody would be getting banned for anything other than breaking the law. That would be like, if I ran the website the way that I wanted to, that would be the rules. But according to the rules, they did break the rules.”
The Amazon-owned platform is starting to become more transparent with their bans and have even started letting long-standing suspensions expire.
There had been hope from Adin and his fans that his ban would be lifted. However, that has yet to happen.
