Asmongold reveals Twitch actually ‘supports’ him streaming on Kick

Streaming star Asmongold says Twitch has been “supportive” of him multistreaming on Kick and hasn’t tried to dissuade him whatsoever.

For the most part, streamers have one platform that they call their home. However, multistreaming has become a bigger part of things in the last year or so, with a number of streamers splitting time between Twitch, Kick, and even TikTok.

Asmongold has been threatening to multistream for quite some time. The former OTK member claimed that Twitch streams are “kind of irrelevant” these days, but closed the door on utilizing YouTube as a second outlet.

Instead, he has opted for Kick. Asmon hasn’t gotten a big payday up front, but is just involved in the lucrative Kick Partner Program that pays you for having a certain number of viewers every hour – as well as your subscriber money.

Asmongold highlights one issue with Twitch amid multistreaming

With Kick being Twitch’s closest rival at the minute, many fans may have assumed that it is a soft launch to joining the Stake-backed platform full-time. However, Asmon doesn’t see it that way and reveals Twitch has actually backed the multistreaming move.

“I’m not going to go into details, but what I will say is that Twitch has not, in any capacity, tried to dissuade me from multistreaming and every conversation I’ve had with Twitch about using other platforms, they have been supportive of,” he said.

“I don’t have anything bad to say about Twitch at all. I wish they would get their moderation together, I think their moderation is f**ked, but other than that, I don’t have anything negative to say about Twitch.”

He also downplayed the idea that Twitch wants him gone, and that’s why they’re supporting the move.

“Well, no, I think that they like me a lot. I mean, I bring a lot of people to look at the website,” Asmon added.

The World of Warcraft streamer has also opened the door to streaming on X (formerly Twitter) if some changes are made. He would also like to see Twitch ban political streams, but that is unlikely to happen.
