Twitch star Asmongold has already made more in two days streaming on Kick than he did on the Amazon-owned platform.
On June 2, Asmongold decided to take his streams to Kick while multistreaming on Twitch in a move that has brought quite a few eyes to the Stake-backed platform.
Instead of signing a mammoth deal like Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s $100M contract, Asmongold opted to settle for the Kick Partner Program, which allows creators to earn money based on viewership in addition to 95% of each subscription.
On June 4, Asmongold was on just his third Kick stream and decided to compare how much more he was making on Kick compared to Twitch, and the results weren’t even close.
Asmongold’s two-day Kick earnings dwarf a month on Twitch
During the broadcast, Asmongold pulled up his Twitch dashboard, revealing that from May 6 to June 4, he had been live for just under 211 hours on the platform. With just 1 hour and 50 minutes of ad breaks and 11,453 subscriptions, he had earned $32,371 on Twitch.
However, his two Kick streams have earned him thousands more. After pulling up his Kick stats, he revealed that his estimated earnings were $36,910.
Asmongold reveals his Twitch earnings.
On June 2, he made $19,703, and on June 3, he was looking at $17,207. Not bad for a couple of six and seven-hour broadcasts.
After putting the two side-by-side, the former OTK member broke down in hysterics. “What the f**k is going on?” he laughed. “Somebody gotta show it!”
He’s not the only streamer to be amazed at how much more Kick pays. His streaming pal, Tectone, also joined Kick at the same time and claimed he was making 8x more than he was on Twitch, just hours into his first broadcast.
“That’s two motherf**king days, and that’s not even being exclusive to Kick!” Asmongold exclaimed.
According to the Kick star, his decision to join the platform even caused the site’s servers to overload due to the amount of people that signed up, so he could have made even more if things were stable.
It’ll be interesting to see what his numbers look like after a month on the green platform and when he ends up broadcasting to X – something he’s in talks with Elon Musk about.
