Asmongold is currently Twitch’s most-watched streamer, and by some distance, and he’s doing it on his alt channel, ‘zackrawrr,’ where he runs very few ads – something Twitch itself is likely not a fan of.
In the past 14 days, Asmon has streamed for 108 hours, and accumulated a staggering 5,032,178 hours watched by viewers.
This is far ahead of second-place caedrel, who sits at 4,196,900 hours watched during the same period, having streamed for 96 hours. Stats via SullyGnome:
Notably, Asmongold has not streamed on his main Twitch account since 2023, having explained in 2022 that it stresses him out. “There’s a lot of things about going live on the main account that stresses me out. It’s one of those things that is not a logical way of feeling, and I think that’s probably why it bothers me.”
As a result, he exclusively streams on zackrawrr now, his alt account, that, for a long time, was not even partnered on Twitch.
Initially, it operated without monetization entirely, allowing fans to enjoy the streams free from ads and subs.
However, in December 2024, Asmongold enabled monetization on the channel after discussions with Twitch, revealing that the platform had been incurring substantial costs due to the channel’s high traffic without any revenue.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Twitch is spending over $1 million a month hosting this channel and they’re not happy about it,” he originally estimated in July 2024. “And so if I have to do it and they’re gonna put ads on it, I will partner the channel. If there’s gonna be ads, I’m gonna get f**king paid for it.”
Upon activating subscriptions, the channel amassed over 10,000 subscribers within minutes. However, this number has fallen sharply, as Asmongold rarely prompts viewers to subscribe. The channel currently has just over 7,000 subscribers.
Although he has the highest number of hours watched, Asmongold is 7th overall for average viewers, with 46,000. Kai Cenat still holds the highest average viewers spot, with just over 60,000 (not including one Ibai stream which had over 400,000 viewers).

Despite enabling monetization, Asmongold says he keeps ads to a minimum.
Between January 19 and February 17, 2025, he earned $37,001.40 from Twitch, with a minimal amount from advertisements.
“For my viewership, honestly, there should be a zero behind that,” he said about the revenue figure. “Like, if I was running ads all the time and I was actually incentivizing subs, there would be a zero behind that, for sure. It’s just, I don’t really want to do that.”
It’s impossible to know if this channel really is a loss-leader for Twitch or not, but they’d certainly appreciate it if Asmongold ran some more ads, and pushed for subscribers more.
