Brad Pitt has reportedly refused Angelina Jolie‘s plea to drop his lawsuit against her. The former couple have been embroiled in a heated legal battle over their French winery, Chateau Miraval.
Pitt sued Jolie for selling her 50 percent stake without his consent, seeking to void the sale and claiming it violated an agreement they made.
Now, according to a source, Brad Pitt does not intend to drop his lawsuit because Angelina Jolie allegedly realizes she does not have a strong case.

Brad Pitt Sued Angelina Jolie Over Chateau Miraval Sale
Pitt and Jolie have been in a heated dispute over their shared French winery, Chateau Miraval, which they bought in 2008.
The “Fight Club” actor sued Jolie for selling her 50 percent stake in the winery to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler for $67 million in October 2021 without his consent, violating their agreement to offer first refusal to each other.
Pitt wants the sale voided and is seeking monetary damages and legal fees. The case has now escalated into a contentious battle over NDAs.
However, Jolie has reportedly asked Pitt to cease the legal fight to allow their family to heal, but insiders claim Pitt is determined to continue his lawsuit against Jolie, who allegedly portrayed herself as a “victim” in a bid to end their legal conflict.

An insider told the Daily Mail, “Brad is not going to drop this lawsuit – why would he? This was a very standard business dispute but unfortunately, Angelina has consistently introduced personal elements that are meant for a divorce court.”

Angelina Jolie Slammed For Trying To Be A ‘Peacemaker’ In Her ‘Business Dispute’ With Brad Pitt
According to the news outlet, the insider claimed that Jolie is trying to present herself as a “peacemaker” and a “victim” in their “business dispute.”
The insider said, “Angelina is asking him to put an end to the fighting as if she is a peacemaker. This is nothing more than to paint herself as the victim. This is not a fight. This is a business dispute over the sale of property that was ultimately going to be for their kids. It was their inheritance, and she knows this.”

They continued, “[Jolie] is realizing that she does not have a strong case anymore and she also knows that she may likely have to shell out the money by order of the courts. Bringing very personal issues into a business lawsuit is backfiring on her. It has exposed the weaknesses in her case and has complicated matters for both parties. She didn’t need to do this.”

Angelina Jolie Seeks Peace As Brad Pitt Pursues $67 Million Lawsuit Over Chateau Miraval
A different source denied that it’s a “simple business dispute,” claiming that Pitt is suing his ex-wife for refusing to sign an NDA covering his alleged “abuse.”
“Pitt is the one suing Angelina yet he somehow thinks he can say she’s fighting him,” the source told the news outlet. “She’s the one out there saying they should focus on healing their family and he should drop his relentless attacks on her, but he’s refusing.”
“Suing her for 67 million dollars because she refused to sign an NDA covering up his abuse is not a ‘simple business dispute,'” the source added. “All Angelina wants is peace, but he is determined to continue fighting her and blaming everyone but himself for the situation he’s now in.”
When the estranged couple first acquired the 1,200-acre winemaking estate, Pitt took a 60 percent stake, while Jolie held 40 percent.
The “Bullet Train” actor invested millions into the estate, capitalizing on the popularity of rosé wine and expanding the business. This led to a 300 percent increase in sales. Soon, the estate’s value grew from $60 million to approximately $164 million.

The Former Couple’s Legal Battle Escalated Over Alleged NDA And Abuse Claims
Court records indicate that by the time they tied the knot in 2014, Jolie had stopped investing, although she denies this claim.
Despite this, Pitt gifted her 10 percent of his share in December 2013 for “the sum of 1 Euro [never paid],” making them equal partners by their August 2014 wedding.
According to the Daily Mail, the “Maleficient” actress asserts that she withdrew from their agreement because Pitt insisted she sign an NDA as part of their business deal, which she claims would have prevented her from discussing abuse allegations, including the September 2016 incident on their private jet.
Her team has labeled this demand an “unconscionable” effort by Pitt to “control her” after their separation.
A source close to Pitt later explained to People magazine, “Brad requested a mutual NDA and non-disparagement strictly related to Miraval over concerns around sensitive financial information and protecting the brand, which is standard with these types of transactions.”

Brad Pitt’s Kids Are Seemingly Cutting Ties With Him Amid Their Parents’ Legal Battle
Although Pitt seems to be winning the legal fight over Chateau Miraval, the Hollywood star is losing the battle at home, as several of his children are slowly cutting ties with him by dropping his last name.
In June, the actor’s daughter, Shiloh, took legal steps to drop “Pitt” from her name, requesting to be known as “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.” She also took out an ad in The Los Angeles Times newspaper, announcing her decision to no longer bear her father’s last name.
Pitt’s youngest daughter, Vivienne, also seemingly cut ties with Pitt by listing her name as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the Broadway musical adaptation of “The Outsiders,” where she worked as her mother’s assistant.
The actor’s other daughter, Zahara, introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” when she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College last year. Pitt and Jolie’s oldest sons, Maddox and Pax, have reportedly not publicly used their father’s last name in years and have been openly critical of him.
