Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s Son Pax Out Of ICU To Begin ‘Physical Therapy’

The 20-year-old was previously receiving treatment in the ICU but has been released to start “recovery and physical therapy.”

Pax Jolie-Pitt suffered complex trauma due to the accident and has had the support of his mother and siblings all through his stay in the hospital.

Following a motorcycle accident in late July, Pax was transferred out of intensive care to begin his recovery journey.

A source close to the family shared the news with People Magazine after it was previously confirmed that the 20-year-old was stable.

“Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy,” the insider told the outlet.

All through Pax’s stay in the ICU, he reportedly had his mother, Jolie, at his side, giving him all the support he needed.

According to the source, the Hollywood star who observed how the hospital staff treated him is grateful for the “outstanding medical care he received.”

The insider confirmed that Pax has indeed had visits from his siblings—Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne—adding that “they are all very close.”

Pax’s shocking accident took place during rush hour on July 29 while he was riding an e-bike without a helmet on Los Feliz Boulevard.

The location is near his mother’s Los Angeles residence, suggesting Pax might have been either leaving or heading to her home.

According to reports, Pax was approaching an intersection when he crashed his e-bike into the back of a parked car. The driver of the car had stopped for a red light before Pax collided with his vehicle.

It remains unclear whether the 20-year-old was driving too fast, which might have prevented him from being able to apply the bike’s brake in time to avoid the collision.

After the crash, the car driver reportedly checked on Pax, who witnesses claimed was lying unconscious on the ground. It is believed that Pax did not gain consciousness until the arrival of paramedics. He was treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital due to his complaints about head pain.

Pax’s recent motorcycle accident is not his first brush with such incidents. According to reports, he has had a string of similar close calls, which have raised concerns among his friends.

“He has had a string of car crashes,” a source told Page Six about the 20-year-old. “It’s not great. Pax is a troubled kid, and Angelina is doing her best to help him.”

Another insider shared, “His friends are concerned about him. He’s being reckless. They’re worried.”

In the meantime, it is unlikely Pax will face any charges due to the crash, as recent reports have claimed that the LAPD does not intend to add any other updates to its previous report of the incident.

While it has been confirmed that Jolie and Pax’s siblings visited him in the hospital, Pitt is believed to have been absent throughout the 20-year-old’s stay in the ICU.

Pax is estranged from his father following Pitt and Jolie’s contentious divorce years ago. In 2020, he expressed his feelings publicly by launching a social media rant against Pitt on Father’s Day.

“Happy Father’s Day to this world class a-shole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person,” Pax wrote, adding a picture of Pitt receiving an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. “You have no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.”

“You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday,” Pax continued, per the Daily Mail. “So, Happy Father’s Day, you f–king awful human being!!!”

“Brad is distraught and worried over Pax’s accident,” a source told the Daily Mail, noting that the actor has been “unable to reach him.”

“A father’s inclination would be to go to the hospital or to call him. He’s tried so many times but the kids won’t take his calls. His hands are tied,” the source continued. “Brad doesn’t think that Pax should be driving a scooter without a helmet to begin with – he should have been in a car.”

“It is very upsetting to Brad whenever he hears of one of the kids being hurt, and he feels completely powerless because there is nothing that he can do at all.”
