Rinna Bids Farewell To ‘The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’
Rinna’s decision to leave the series was reportedly a mutual choice made along with Bravo, per People’s report on the news.
“This is the longest job I have held in my 35 year career,” Rinna began in her statement, “and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It’s been a fun eight year run and I am excited for what is to come,” she concludes.
The outlet also reported the decision was made as Rinna’s contract with the network expired.
How Are ‘Bravolebrities’ Reacting To Rinna’s Departure?
Following the news of Rinna’s departure from the series on Thursday, some notable celebs began reacting to the news.
One reaction was more on the subtle side! Former ‘RHOBH’ cast member Lisa Vanderpump, who had clashed with Rinna countless times during the duo’s time on the series together, took to Twitter. Vanderpump did not explicitly mention Rinna or the news, but according to E!, Twitter users were quick to react to Vanderpump’s mysterious tweet.
The tweet, which currently has over one thousand replies, simply reads “ding dong.”
“Same words were said when you was fired,” a Twitter user responded, to which Vanderpump was quick to drag their comment!
“You was fired?” she responded along with three laughing emojis.
“You are so low rent,” another one of Vanderpump’s followers responded. “Your actions speak for themselves and always have so I wouldn’t gloat.”
“Why follow somebody who is low rent?” Vanderpump tweeted back, “Silly girl,” she said.
Rinna’s husband Harry Hamlin also provided his two cents on the situation.
He defended his wife in his response, alleging that his wife’s tendency to speak out would often result in “trouble” for her on the series.
“She does her job,” Hamlin said. “Her job is to show up on time, interact with the people on the show in an honest and authentic way. Her hot button issue, I suppose, is injustice, or when somebody else is not behaving honestly, she’ll call it out, and that gets into a lot of trouble. But it also helps the show,” Hamlin told People.
Cohen Dubs Rinna’s Time On ‘RHOBH’ As ‘Iconic’
As the face of Bravo, Cohen has gotten to know Rinna well over the years. Despite having a relationship that wasn’t always peachy, Cohen bid farewell to Rinna via his Instagram story.
Two years ago the duo was at odds after Rinna expressed her displeasure over the then-current season’s reunion. The reunion tackled drama between then-cast member Denise Richards and former cast member and frequent guest star Brandi Glanville.
“We shot the Beverly Hills reunion virtually the other day,” Cohen explained on an episode of his radio show, “[Rinna] said it was ‘b*lls**t.’ She was really upset that Brandi wasn’t there and I was not.
“We were going back and forth over whether she should come, spoke to Brandi about it,” Cohen continued, “And I think when you see the finale, you will see, I don’t know, I don’t want to give too much away. But the bottom line is, we all want to hear from Brandi, but yes, [Lisa] was upset about that.” (per The Blast)
Rinna would later retaliate on Instagram.
Rinna and Cohen’s past burps haven’t kept him from commemorating the ‘RHOBH’ veteran’s time on the show! Following the release of the news Cohen shared a photo featuring several exaggerated drawings of Rinna.
“An iconic run,” Cohen would add to his story. He also tags @drunkdrawn in the post, who is presumably the original artist.
Lisa Rinna began her run on ‘RHOBH’ in 2014.
