Florida Governor Ron Desantis says Andrew and Tristan Tate are ‘not welcome’ in the state after the influencers flew from Romania to Florida.
Andrew and Tristan Tate were first arrested after a house raid on December 29, 2022, and spent the next several months detained by Romanian authorities.
Once they were let go, however, a judge ordered Andrew and Tristian to remain on house arrest which has prevented them from leaving Romania since the day of their initial arrest. That was lifted in July 2024, but the brothers remained in the country.
On February 27, 2025, however, Andrew and Tristian boarded a private jet set for Florida, and the state’s governor shared his thoughts about their arrival.
Florida Governor responds to Andrew Tates arrival
During a press conference, a reporter asked Governor Desantis about Andrew Tate’s arrival.
“Is he welcome here?” they asked. “What will the state do to send him back to Romania?”
Desantis responded: “We have no involvement in that, I read about it through the media. Clearly the federal government has jurisdiction over whether they want to rebuff his entry into the United States and I have confidence that they will be looking at that.
“I do know our Attorney General is looking at what state hooks and jurisdiction we may have to be able to deal with this, but the reality is that no, Florida is not a place where you’re welcome with that type of conduct in the air.”
After news of Tate’s arrival to Florida made its way around social media, many began wondering if the long-awaited stream with Adin Ross might finally happen.
Adin claimed back in March 2024 that he was going to fly to Romania in June to stream with Tate in person, but the collaboration never actually happened, leaving fans eager for the broadcast.
At the time of writing, however, neither Andrew nor Adin have confirmed plans to do anything while Tate is in Florida.
