Reflecting on her personal life on Tuesday’s episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast, Robach opened up about how her relationship with Holmes helped her discover a part of herself that she was unfamiliar with.

According to Page Six, she explained that Holmes has helped her embrace her femininity after she was always the “breadwinner” in her previous marriages.

“I was always on the other side of things,” Robach told their guest, matchmaker Thalia Ouimet.

“I’ve always been like, no. I’m the doer. I’m the getter. I’m the maker. I’m the creator. I’m the breadwinner,” she went on. “And so it’s interesting about accepting, and not just accepting but embracing, the other side of yourself in the right relationship.”

Amy Robach Admits To Feeling ‘Manipulative’

Robach’s previous marriage seemingly caused a disconnect with her feminine side.

The mother-of-two confessed that she sometimes struggled with feeling “manipulative” whenever she drops her “boss lady energy” to stay in touch with her softer side, which obviously stemmed from her having to be the “breadwinner.”

Holmes then added that he loved seeing her stay on her feminine side and wished more people could experience it.

“What is the thing I say to you all the time? You are such a sweetheart. I wish other people knew that,” he noted. “And really, she’s [tender], she’s sweet and that feminine energy maybe you speak of, but as a colleague and seeing her around the studio for so long, nobody has any clue about the person I know.”

Their guest on the show then reassured Robach that what’s happening to her is that she’s coming “home to who you really are.”

“When you’re in your masculine for so long in a marriage or in a relationship, sometimes you lose that,” Ouimet added. “So you have to constantly check in with yourself.”

The former “Good Morning America 3” co-host shared in a recent episode of their podcast that her ex-husband, Shue, didn’t get to put a ring on her finger when they were engaged.

Robach and Shue went on to have 13 years of marriage together despite not being engaged with a ring.

According to Page Six, she noted that the engagement ring to her first husband, Tim McIntosh, cost about $3000 but that she “didn’t even really have one the second time.”

“My second one didn’t exist,” the 51-year-old news anchor stated, referencing her second engagement to the “Melrose Place” alum.

Robach went on to express her gratitude that Shue did not give her an engagement ring, labeling it a blessing in disguise.

“I also think this is a cautionary tale because we do know that close to 50 percent of all marriages end in divorce,” she added.

On Sunday’s episode of their podcast, Robach discussed the public scrutiny that has since followed their relationship, noting that she gives “zero f–ks” about what people think at this point.

“We know a little bit about walking through some darkness [and] coming through the other side when the worst has happened,” she shared.

In May, she revealed that her former “Good Morning America” co-host-turn-lover “won’t let” her even pay for anything when they go on dates.

“We go to dinner, the man pays. That’s just it,” Holmes said at the time. “From the moment I joined ABC News, you were already there. There’s not a moment, a day in our ABC careers, that I made more money than you did. But still, once we started dating, you didn’t pay for a meal.”

Robach has weighed in on why she and Holmes are not leaping to walk down the aisle despite sharing that she’d love to marry him.

“I wanna marry you. I don’t need to. I want to be married to you,” Robach told Holmes.

“I mean, it’s interesting having gone through this now, both of us twice,” she explained, referring to their respective divorces. “And, I know that can be joke material, but I actually think it’s been such hard-earned, God, I mean, just I’ve learned so much through going through both of those relationships and now being in this one with you.”

The mother of two added, “Interestingly, now, with the choice totally in front of us to get married or not, we’re kind of on the fence and laughing about it because it doesn’t matter because we know we want to be with each other. We want to marry each other. We don’t have to necessarily get married because of what that represents.”
