Amouranth calls out Pokimane to fight her in boxing match debut

Twitch streamer Amouranth was set to make her boxing debut in 2023, but had to pull out due to health issues. Now, she’s back at it, and revealed she would want her first opponent to be none other than Pokimane.

Back in 2023, Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa was scheduled to fight on Ibai Llanos’ La Velada del Año 3 against Spanish streamer Maite ‘Mayichi’ Carrillo.

Before the match, however, Amouranth revealed she had to pull out over health concerns stemming from “late-stage ovarian failure.”

Speaking on Dexerto’s new Clickbaited show, Amouranth revealed she’s been training and would like to step into the ring down the line, but only if it’s against the right opponent.

According to Amouranth, she was looking forward to traveling to Spain to participate in Ibai’s event, and thought boxing would be a “cool opportunity” and something different from her standard content.

“It gives me kinda an arc to stream the boxing training and all that. I thought it would be kinda cool and [Mayichi] didn’t look very intimidating either. So, I felt very confident,” she explained.

We followed this up by asking if she’d be open about fighting down the line and Siragusa seemed interested, but only under the right conditions.

“Yes and no. It would depend who,” she said.

When asked about who an ideal foe could be, Siragusa paused for a bit to think before settling on one of Twitch’s top female streamers.

“Pokimane,” she revealed, but wasn’t sure if she’d accept the challenge. “I don’t think she will… We could pillow fight. Paid tickets only.”

While Pokimane hasn’t fought, she did express a willingness to compete in influencer boxing after training in Mizkif’s gym last year.

Siragusa also revealed that Social Gloves boxer Austin McBroom had reached out to her asking if she had Snapchat.

“Such a weird thing to ask,” she laughed and motioned to her assistant off-screen. “She told me that he was divorced. I’m like, ‘oh right. Yeah, no.’ Maybe I’ll box him, though. Hot tub boxing, make it happen.”

While a bout between Amouranth and McBroom is unlikely to happen, the streamer has revealed plans to hire a male boxer to fight for her by “proxy.”

“I won’t fight a biological male, but I’m sure I could find a proxy who I will cover all expenses and training for who will,” she said in late February.

So far, nothing is set in stone regarding Amouranth’s boxing ambitions, but given her star power, any event with her participation could prove to be quite the experience, whether she’s fighting or has someone competing on her behalf.
