An AMERICAN Idol alum has begged to replace Katy Perry on the judges’ table.
Jordin Sparks, 34, dropped her name as a possible replacement for Katy, 39.
This past Thursday, the This is My Now singer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and teased a viable return.
“Oh hi [Amertican Idol] —I hear a seat opened up at the judges’ table!” Jordin tweeted.
“I’m putting my name in the hat.”
In 2007, Jordin rose to fame in 2007 after winning the sixth season of American Idol.
At the time, she became the youngest champion at the age of 17.
THE COMMENTS
Now, in an online thread, fans became excited about the beloved alum’s turn as a potential judge.
“Oh, Jordin would be so good! Especially since she went through the show so young, I think she’d really be able to mentor a wide range of contestants,” one fan cheered.
“I don’t think her relevancy is completely out of the question,” another fan assumed.
“I love Jordin! I think it would be nice to have an alum at the judges’ table,” a third fan wrote.
‘LAST SEASON’
Before Valentine’s Day, Katy announced her departure from the talent competition show on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“So I think this will probably be my last season for Idol,” she said.
“I love Idol so much. It’s connected me with the heart of America, but I need to feel that pulse of my own beat.
“I love the show so much but I wanna go and see the world and maybe bring new music,” the star continued.
The singer lasted seven seasons since, starring alongside fellow judges Lionel Richie, 74, and Luke Bryan, 47.

‘A BIGGER FAMILY’
On Valentine’s Day, an insider close to the situation exclusively told the U.S. Sun that the Fireworks singer wants to expand her family
“Katy has always told her friends that having a bigger family has been a dream,” the source shared.
“She is 40 in the fall and loves her blended harmonious family with Orlando and his ex Miranda Kerr. But she would like a little sibling for Daisy.”
“The other thing is that Katy loves how Orlando is such a super dad to his children. That has made her love him even more,” the source added.
“She has learned from him how to balance work and personal time…one could almost argue that he has helped him really find a balance in her life because of his influence.”
The Lord of the Rings actor shares his son Flynn, 13, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr, 40.
Executive producers are considering Miley Cryus, 31, but she might not be a”family-friendly” replacement for Katy, as reported by The U.S. Sun.
