Sister duo ALT BLK ERA have shared a lyric video for their track ‘Oggy’.
The playful headbanger, which uses the ‘Oggy’ chant of its namesake, is the final track on the pair’s debut EP ‘Freak Show’, which arrived in September.
Check out the lyric video below.
Speaking on the track, Nyrobi – who forms one half of Alt Blk Era alongside sister Chaya – has said:
“There are so many people we know who feel silenced or ostracised for being who they are. We wanted to miss that nonsense and show up loud and proud.
“There’s no better way to do it than with an Oggy chant!”
The lyric video wraps-up what’s been an impressive 2023 for the band, who’ve made debut appearances at the likes of Dot To Dot Festival, Glastonbury, Boomtown and Reading & Leeds Festival,
They also played shows with Lord Of The Lost at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and have supported Witch Fever and ZAND, and performed at Spotify’s misfits 2.0 Anti-Prom.
ALT BLK ERA have also been announced for next year’s Download Festival and you can expect them to take things to even greater heights next year, as they continue to not only release tunes but build on their ethos of creating safe spaces and a community for alts and their allies.
