Many Americans aren’t familiar with RyanAir, the ultra-budget European airline that frequently goes viral for hilarious shenanigans and incredibly cheap prices. But, they may be now after the airline had a hilarious burn of actress and pop singer Selena Gomez.
Gomez had announced a social media hiatus after some drama at the Golden Globes on Sunday, only for her to post from social media after just a few hours.
The controversy stems from an incident at the Golden Globes on Sunday when Selena Gomez and close friend Taylor Swift were seen whispering, with many concluding it was about Kylie Jenner and boyfriend Timothee Chalamet and Kylie’s refusal to let Chalamet take a picture with Selena. All of that is almost certainly nonsense, and even if it isn’t, who it really cares?
Anyways, that prompted a social media hiatus, which Gomez announced on her Instagram on Tuesday. But, it didn’t last very long, and the pop star was back on social media the next day in a cooking video with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey.
So much for a hiatus, right? RyanAir took notice.

The context is that many Europeans swear after flying RyanAir that they will never do it agian, only to be wooed by the very cheap ticket prices across continental Europe.
Nice work, RyanAir social media team.
