Agatha All Along’s fifth episode gave fans a lot to chew on. The revelation that Teen is Wiccan is obviously the biggest thing but it came about due to a sad moment. In this episode, the coven faces its latest trial and it involves Agatha Harkness’ ghost mom Evanora. She tells them that Agatha was born evil and she should’ve killed her as a baby. Yikes. We certainly don’t condone killing babies but Agatha proves herself to be a sinister threat once again when she kills Alice. Yep, it’s wild.
Evanora possesses Agatha’s body with the intent of the coven leaving her there and continuing on. That’s meant to be Agatha’s punishment for her previous evil deeds. Alice steps in and uses her powers in an attempt to save Agatha but, after her mother leaves her body, Agatha absorbs all of Alice’s power and drains her lifeforce. A heartbroken Teen begs Agatha to do something to save Alice but Jen says they cannot save her. Agatha moves on down the road, which causes a tense moment between her and Teen. Poor Alice is left dead after Agatha’s betrayal, which she claims is unintentional.
Teen reveals himself to be Wiccan and issues justice against Agatha by mind controlling Jen and Lilia to throw her into the deadly sinking mud. He then throws them in there and moves forward. The death of Alice in Agatha All Along seemed to drive him towards action, perhaps quicker than his anticipated plans. Then again, we are assuming that he did all of this to ultimately set everyone up. We will see what Wiccan does next but, for now, we mourn the loss of Alice. She didn’t deserve to go out like that, especially when she was just trying to be a good friend and witch.
