The Iron Claw recently gained two high-profile fans in the form of Adele and Coco Gauff.
Over the weekend, videos of megastar musician Adele and tennis superstar Coco Gauff shouting out the film went viral and were reposted by A24, the studio that produced the movie.
“There’s loads of great movies, but if you haven’t seen it, [The] Iron Claw was my favorite movie of the year. It’s about a very famous American wrestling family… f—— phenomenal,” Adele said on stage during one of her recent concerts.
“They’re all amazing. But [The] Iron Claw, I was so blown away by Zac Efron in that movie and after it I cried for three hours… So [The] Iron Claw is the best movie I’ve seen all year. Watch it if you haven’t seen it.”
Similarly, following her win in the Australian Open over the weekend, Gauff said during her postgame interview that she was hoping to see The Iron Claw after her match.

Zac Efron, the star of the film who undeniably puts forth a career-best performance in the project, took notice of both Adele and Gauff’s comments and reposted them on his Instagram story.
With the 2024 Academy Award nominations set to be announced on the morning of Tuesday, January 23, many movie fans are hoping that the film itself will be nominated for Best Picture and that Zac Efron is nominated for Best Actor for his performance as Kevin Von Erich.
In addition to Efron, The Iron Claw, directed by filmmaker Sean Durkin, also stars Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, and Lily James.
