Acres have unveiled the details of their third studio album ‘The Host’, set for release on May 02 via Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records.
It’s set to feature the band’s spine-chilling latest single ‘Bloodlust’, a thunderous anthem released alongside a gloriously creepy music video.
Speaking on the track, the band’s vocalist Ben Lumber has shared:
“‘Bloodlust’ is a track about a toxic relationship between you and addiction, we call The Host… It’s about giving in and giving up to it. You know it’s bad for you, but you can’t live without it. It’s the perfect way to start the record, a first peek into the downward spiral of letting the host in and letting it consume you.”

Playing shows across the US alongside Beartooth, The Plot In You, Holding Absence and The Devil Wears Prada in 2025, Acres’ third album was produced by The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers.
On the record, Ben has said:
“The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band, we’ve always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice… This time the process was unlike anything we’ve done before, working with Landon Tewers brought a fresh perspective and added a new flair to our sound that we’re really excited about!”
‘The Host’ is available to preorder now.
