About A Boy child star Augustus Prew looks unrecognisable, 21 years after the hit British film was first released.
Augustus, now 36, is all grown up and lives in America, two decades after playing sulky schoolboy Ali alongside Hugh Grant, Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette.
Augustus was just fourteen years old when he appeared in the movie as the pre-teen son of Rachel Weisz’s character.
These days, Augustus is a US citizen, having decamped to the States years ago and looks very different with a buff body and hipster appearance.
In a recent snap shared to his Instagram account, the actor can be seen sporting a dark moustache and goatee beard as well as floppy curly hair and an earring.
Another recent holiday snap sees him showing off his toned physique as he wears speedos while posing with a pal next to a swimming pool.
Another sees him in a pair of yellow swimshorts as he shows off the results of some sessions in the gym.
Augustus has gone on to have a successful acting career since appearing in About A Boy.
He has enjoyed roles in hit shows including Klondike, alongside Richard Madden, Prison Break and The Borgias.
He also achieved big screen success with a role in Kick Ass 2.
Most recently, Augustus portrayed the role of Tony Adams in ITV’s Nolly, alongside Helen Bonham Carter, which airs this week on ITV1.
The actor is known as Augie to his pals, and is married to fellow actor Jeffery Self.
On his husband’s recent birthday, he posted a snap of his man sat on the beach holding their dog.
Augustus wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THIS DREAMBOAT OF A HUSBAND OF MINE! He’s a sweet baby and he’s a whole 36 years young today! Love you Pug man.”
