Creed 3 was a solid way to wrap up a trilogy within a larger franchise. Apollo Creed’s son Adonis “Donnie” Creed made a full journey from a troubled youth who liked to fight to a burgeoning boxer working with his father’s friend Rocky to becoming a mentor himself to the next generation of boxers. He finally faced his greatest core wound and found forgiveness for what went down years prior with his friend Dame. And while Donnie’s story got a satisfying ending, there’s much more to explore in this universe. That’s why it is so exciting that Prime Video is bringing a Creed universe series, aptly titled Delphi, to its platform, with Michael B. Jordan as its executive producer.

Jordan will produce the series alongside Liz Raposo via their Outlier Society production company. Marco Ramirez will be its showrunner. Delphi marks the first live-action series in the Creed Universe and will follow young boxers at the Los Angeles-based gym where Apollo and Adonis trained to become champs. It isn’t clear at this time if Jordan will make any cameo appearances as Adonis Creed in Delphi nor if his daughter Amara will appear.

At the end of the previous film, she was primed to become a new boxer; however, she was only six at the time. Unless this series does a time jump, she’d be eight or nine years old at best. It is likely that Wood Harris will reprise his role as “Little Duke,” considering that he runs the gym and is a famed trainer. I can see him working with the next generation of fighters, many of whom are likely from complicated backgrounds like Adonis.

It will be a while before we get more details about the Creed universe TV series Delphi, including casting and release date. Until then, its the perfect time to revisit the Creed trilogy and get ready for more boxing drama on your television screen.
