If you also fell in love with Noah and Joanne on Nobody Wants This, then you, too, are anxiously twiddling your thumbs in anticipation of a second season. As of this writing, Netflix hasn’t confirmed the fate of Nobody Wants This—but creator Erin Foster, whose real-life love story inspired the rom-com series, has hopeful news for fans.
“There’s so much more story to tell,” Foster told Today.com, adding that the characters’ “slow trajectory” was the secret ingredient in the plot’s success. “So if there was a season [two], I would want to pick up where we leave off and kind of continue to take it slow.”
Until then, we’re soaking up as much Nobody Wants This content as we possibly can, from behind-the-scenes outtakes to blasting the soundtrack on repeat (it’s seriously so good). If you’re searching for similar shows like Nobody Wants This or just miss seeing Adam Brody and Kristen Bell on your screen, we have a few suggestions to help hold you over. 1. The O.C.
Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution
If Nobody Wants This put Brody on your Hollywood heartthrob radar, then you owe it to yourself to watch The O.C. Young Brody plays the titular character of Seth Cohen, a socially awkward, comedic high schooler who belongs to one of the wealthiest families living in the affluent Orange County neighborhood of Newport Beach. The O.C. is one of the most popular shows from the early aughts, and its soundtrack will give you nostalgic goosebumps.
2. Love
Netflix
Judd Apatow is the king of romantic-comedies—just watch Love on Netflix if you don’t believe me. After getting his heart ripped out by his cheating ex, nice-guy Gus (Paul Rust) strikes up an unlikely friendship with L.A. wild child and also recently single Mickey (Gillian Jacobs). What begins as a broken hearts club (read: support group for mending bruised egos), quickly turns into a will-they, won’t-they as the pair dance around the growing feelings for one another.
3. The Good Place
NBC
Nobody Wants This costars Bell and D’Arcy Carden go way back. They first worked together on The Good Place, an NBC comedy series in which Bell’s character mistakenly finds herself in the afterlife. As the Good Place’s newest resident, Eleanor learns that sometimes change can be a good thing (sound familiar?). The show also touches on interfaith relationships.

4. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Warner Bros. Television
When Rebecca eyeballs the guy who broke her heart a decade ago outside her law firm, she takes it as a sign from the universe that they’re finally meant to be together. And so, when he mentions that he’s ditching the Big Apple for sunny California, Rebecca follows suit in hopes of reconnecting with her childhood crush.
5. You’re The Worst
Hooptie Entertainment / FXP
In Nobody Wants This, the city of L.A. is as much of a main character as Noah and Joanne. If you’re looking for similar romantic city vibes, binge Hulu’s You’re The Worst. Also set in L.A., the series tells the chaotic love story of two strangers, Gretchen and Jimmy, who’d probably be better off as friends if it weren’t for their twisted dark humor, tantalizing chemistry, and inability to ever officially break things off.
