28 YEARS LATER’s New Trailer Is Full of Frantic Running and Rage Virus Action

Youtube Video

When the first trailer for 28 Years Later hit, I loved how it did what a trailer is supposed to do. It’s not supposed to be unduly long and basically give away the plot. A trailer is a peak, a tease into what fans can expect. And, when it comes to horror, the more ominous and vague it is, the better. The new trailer for 28 Years Later gets it right again by giving us very little about the film’s plot and showing what we really came to see: those quick moving infected folks!

Three decades later, the world is a very dangerous place to live… unless you are on a protected island. These folks are actually fairing pretty well. But, when two of their citizens leave that safe space to travel into a dangerous mainland, things will certainly go awry.

There’s no backup, no protection, and technology to keep them safe. It is all about survival skills and pure wit. The more I see these characters, the more I want to know the details about their backgrounds. Curiosity is exactly what these clips should spark in viewers.

I find it endlessly funny that we get even more shots of that infected zombie who looks like Cillian Murphy’s Jim. We know that it is not him and he will not be in this movie, but that shows you how much this film’s team is tuned into social media. I also dig the continued use of  that creepy radio voiceover reciting “Boots” by Rudyard Kipling. Combined with the frenetic energy of everyone on screen, the latest 28 Years Later trailer is firing on all cylinders.

Here’s a brief synopsis to bring things into focus:
