Just yesterday, 21 Savage announced a biographical film, starring Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin, called American Dream: The 21 Savage Story. He’s now announced that his new album, American Dream, is out this Friday, January 12. See the album cover, which makes reference to the rapper’s status as an American immigrant, below.
21 Savage last released a solo studio album in 2018 with I Am > I Was. Since then, he’s shared Savage Mode 2 (with Metro Boomin) and Her Loss (with Drake). The rapper also found himself in the headlines after being arrested by the United States’ Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in early 2019. It was revealed that 21 Savage was born in the United Kingdom, but he has since been made a permanent U.S. citizen.
