Brittany Renner stars in a new campaign from Krystal that’s focused on the stated edible benefits of the Georgia-headquartered brand’s Side Chik chicken sandwich.
In a statement, 2 Chainz—who was announced earlier this year to have been enlisted as Krystal’s Head of Creative Marketing—touted Renner as someone with a “pulse on the culture” while underlining the aim behind this latest endeavor.
“At Krystal, we are here to disrupt the [Quick Service Restaurant] landscape and are excited to be working with Brittany Renner as she has a pulse on the culture,” 2 Chainz said in a press release. “We know everyone has a favorite already, so instead of fighting to be your go-to, we’re happy to be your little something on the side.”
For Renner, this partnership allowed her to align with a brand she says shares a trio of key characteristics with her.
“I’m real, I’m honest, and I’m funny,” Renner said. “So I was happy to partner with Krystal since they’re a brand willing to be all those same things.”
The sandwich lineup, meanwhile, sees poultry being served in three options: BBQ Bacon Cheese, Pimento Cheese, and Classic. The Side Chik has also been designed to stand as a breakfast selection, as well, including via the Classic and Pimento variations in biscuit form.
