The only problem fans seem to have with Stranger Things is the wait between seasons. The show has gained a cult following in the short time it’s been on the air, and anyone who watches it knows why. The show is that good. However, it’s the personal lives of the show’s stars people are occupying their time with while waiting on a new season to drop. Gaten Matarazzo is Dustin on the show, and his love life is all the rage. But, it’s the love life Gaten Matarazzo has in real life excited his fans. He recently stepped out with his girlfriend, Lizzy Yu, and everyone wants to know her better.
1. Lizzy Yu is an Actress
She is not nearly as famous as her boyfriend, but that is because she only began working in the business. She is starring on Netflix in Avatar: The Last Airbender (no release date yet). The project airs on Netflix. She’s one of the main characters, which is a big deal. This is not her only work, though. She also stars in a film called Somewhere in Queens. Its premiere date was June 10, 2022, at the Tribeca Film Festival. Ray Romano is the director.
2. They’ve Been Together For a Long Time
These two have always been together. Not literally, but long enough. Their romance began on March 4, 2018. They’ve now been together almost four and a half years, which is a long time for a teenager. Matarazzo wishes his girlfriend a happy anniversary on his social media pages every year. It is adorable.
3. She’s The Less Active Social Media User
In many relationships, the woman is more active on social media. However, not this relationship. Yu is actually the less active user, and that’s a surprise. She’s on social media. She’s just not always on social media. Does that make sense?
4. She Lives in New Jersey
She is currently a New Jersey Girl. She’s living in the Garden State in an apartment with her boyfriend. They are happily living their adult lives together. They stay low-key, but that is also because they’re both working. She’s filming. He’s filming. They’re too busy to do anything other than living a lowkey life.

5. Lizzy Yu Loves Cats
It’s a good thing she loves cats, too. She shares her home with three of them. We are unsure if these are her or her boyfriend’s cats. They may very well have acquired their cats together. We simply do not know. However, they have three cats, and they are both cat lovers.
6. She is Loved By Her Boyfriend’s Family
Four years together is a long time. It’s also more accessible and enjoyable when you spend four years with someone your family enjoys. While she’s never discussed her own family, her boyfriend has discussed his. Gaten says his family loves Elizabeth Yu. His parents adore her, but she’s close to his brother and sister. It’s a nice feeling.
7. They’re All About Quiet Date Nights
They’re not the party type. When Lizzy Yu and Gaten decide it’s date night, they tend to stay home. They prefer something on their own where they’re not out and about. They like to have their dates at home doing things they love. Perhaps they watch a movie or play a game, but the point is the same. They want to be together.
8. She is a Pool Shark
Their favorite thing to do when they are home and hanging out is to play pool. We like to think of Yu as a pool shark. Why? No one enjoys playing pool – nor do they have a pool table at home – if they are not good at pool. So, in that case, she’s a pool shark, and we are here for it.

9. She is Young
Lizzy Yu is young. She’s still a teenager. Her birthday is October 6, 2002. This means she will officially bid adieu to her teenage years in 2022. Her boyfriend is also ready to say goodbye to his teenage years. You’d never realize they’re so young, considering how low-key and mature they are for their age.
10. She Prefers Her Quiet Life to Fame
She loves acting. She’s going to make a name for herself in the business. However, she would much rather hang out at home than party. She’s a teenage girl in a long-term relationship with a man she lives with, and they’re serious about one another. They’re wise beyond their years, and she’s living her best life at home.
