Roc Marciano and The Alchemist Share New Single and Video “Deja Vu”

Fresh off announcing their forthcoming collaborative album The Elephant Man’s Bones, Roc Marciano and The Alchemist return with a new video for the project’s lead single.

Clocking in at under three minutes, “Deja Vu” pairs a drum-less, piano-laden Alchemist beat with Marciano’s smooth delivery. “The Feds kicked the door at my joint, but the brick was in the toilet/No OGs to give us pointers/We bendin’ corners/Shorty could’ve been on the Hornets knockin’ down three-pointers,” the Long Island native raps.

“Deja Vu” arrives two weeks after Marciano announced the follow-up to his 2020 album Mt. Marci. Due out August 26, The Elephant Man’s Bones is entirely produced by the Alchemist, and will feature guest appearances from Boldy James, Action Bronson, Ice-T, and Knowledge the Pirate.

“I think this is the best shit we ever did,” Alchemist tweeted after the pair shared the news. “Can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Of course, The Elephant Man’s Bones won’t be the first time Roc and Alchemist have joined forces. Over the past decade, the Alchemist has earned production credits on a handful of Marciano albums (2012’s Reloaded, 2013’s The Pimpire Strikes Back, 2018’s Behold a Dark Horse), while the Long Island rapper has featured on several of Alc’s solo offerings (2016’s Craft Singles: 45 Vinyl Series, 2018’s Lunch Meat EP, 2019’s Yacht Rock 2).
