French Montana and Harry Fraud come together to deliver their latest collaborative album, Montega, with impressive features from Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Benny the Butcher, EST Gee, and more.
Every track on Montega sounds theatrical as Harry Fraud laces the project’s beat to make each song sound luxurious and expensive, but still with roots from the trenches. These unique production choices also make every featured artist on the album flow in refreshing ways, like EST Gee finding his groove on the airy song “Keep it Real,” or Rick Ross getting deeper into his big boss bag on “Kind of Girl.” French holds his own through all 12 tracks and demonstrates everything that he’s learned from being in the game for nearly two decades.
Another standout on Montega is “Bricks and Bags” featuring Jadakiss and Benny the Butcher. French explained how the track came together and why he wanted to join forces with the impressive lyricists.
“For ‘Bricks and Bags’ me and Fraud wanted to bring together two artists that, to me represent that impeccable Cokeboy sound” French said. “Jadakiss gave me one of my first major co-signs when we did ‘New York Minute’ in 2009. Benny continues to show why he is one of the best artists to emerge out of the East Coast in the past few years.”
