Jack White to Release New Book of Collected Lyrics and Writings

Jack White has announced a new book titled Jack White Collected Lyrics and Selected Writings Volume 1.

As its title suggests, the book contains a compilation of lyrics written by White over the course of his career outside of his work with The White Stripes. The package includes lyrics written with his bands The Racounteurs and The Dead Weather as well from his most recent album, 2024’s No Name.

The collection also features rare, exclusive photos and selected poems and writing by White. Lastly, the package includes essays contributed by poet Adrian Matejka, Detroit filmmaker and writer dream hampton, and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Blackwell, who also served as the book’s editor.

Released by Third Man Records’ book division, Jack White Collected Lyrics and Selected Writings Volume 1 joins the 2023 book The White Stripes Complete Lyrics as the most comprehensive collection of White’s writing and lyrics. The new collection is available for pre-order now; it will hit bookstore shelves in the US on October 21st, 2025, and will arrive at stores in the UK on December 12th, 2025.

Of the new book and White’s writing, author and poet Hanif Abdurraqib said, “I wish I read more people who talked about Jack White as a writer of lyrics, or as a narrator of a very specific kind of interior…  Evil and optimism wrestle with each other, longing and a hunger for loneliness tussle in the same bed. Cynicism and desire, rage and tenderness. All of these things seamlessly stitch together and come alive on the page.”

White, our 2024 Artist of the Year, just completed his “No Name” tour last month, which Consequence dubbed one of the Best Live Shows of 2024. He’s got a handful of festival dates coming up, including appearances at Bourbon & BeyondRiot Fest, and CBGB Festival. Get tickets to see Jack White here.
